Audition Requirements
Are you devoted to passionately expressing the choral art and sharing it with the community?
Espressivo is a group of professionally trained singers that desire to provide the community with artistically excellent choral performances. We rehearse on Mondays from 6:30 - 8:30 pm at Lake Worth High School.

Be prepared to sing a solo piece of your choosing (please bring your own accompanist if needed)

Basic sightsinging exercise. Due to limited rehearsal times, we require sight reading skills of all Espressivo members.

Although we are seeking all voice parts for the upcoming season, we will have more availability for the traditional male voice parts.

2026 Vocal Scholarship Competition

Application Deadline: February 13, 2026, 11:59 pm.
​​​
Winner will receive a $1,000.00 scholarship. 2nd place will receive a $500.00 scholarship.
​
The purpose of this scholarship is to encourage exceptional vocalists to pursue their education in the vocal arts. The student must qualify with regards to the criteria listed below:

Open to students who in the 2025-2026 year are between12th grade and a college junior

Voice must be principal instrument
-
Must exhibit excellence in music ability
-
Must be a resident of Palm Beach County or studying with a Palm Beach County National Association of Teachers of Singing instructor

High school students must declare music as their college major, and college students must have music as their official major

Complete the Application Form
-
A recommendation letter from your director, vocal coach, or voice teacher, in PDF format, must be uploaded with your application. (750 word maximum)

In your application, you will provide a recording of yourself performing 2 selections
-
Music must be art song, hymn, folk song, or aria
-
At least one selection must be in a language other than English
-
All music must be memorized
-
Accompaniment may be live or pre-recorded
