Espressivo is a group of professionally trained singers that desire to provide the community with artistically excellent choral performances. We rehearse on Mondays from 6:30 - 8:30pm at Lake Worth High School.

Be prepared to sing a solo piece of your choosing (please bring your own accompanist if needed)
Basic sightsinging exercise. Due to limited rehearsal times, we require sight reading skills of all Espressivo members.
Although we are seeking all voice parts for the upcoming season, we will have more availability for the traditional male voice parts.

Audition Date: April 9th, 2022
Auditions will be held via Zoom.
Winner will receive a $1,000.00 scholarship and perform one of their selections at one of Espressivo's spring concerts during the weekend of April 29th-May1st, 2022. 2nd place will receive a $500.00 scholarship.
The purpose of this scholarship is to encourage exceptional vocalists to pursue their education in the vocal arts. The student must qualify with regards to the criteria listed below:
Open to students who in the 2021-2022 year are between 12th grade and a college junior
Voice must be principal instrument
Must exhibit excellence in music ability
Must be a resident of Palm Beach County or studying with a Palm Beach County National Association of Teachers of Singing instructor
Applicants will be evaluated in the following areas:
Tone Quality and Production
Complete the Application Form
A recommendation letter from your director, vocal coach, or voice teacher, in PDF format, must be uploaded with your application. (750 word maximum)
After the application is reviewed, applicants will receive an email with specific time and individual Zoom meeting information
On your audition date:
Performer must provide 2 selections, at least one in a foreign language
Music must be art song, hymn, folk song, or aria
All music must be memorized
Accompaniment may be live or pre-recorded

2015 Recipient: Sarah Faulhaber
Sarah Faulhaber has been singing since she can remember. Throughout her time at Florida Atlantic University, she has consistently demonstrated a desire to excel and succeed in choral music education. A music education major, Sarah worked with the Undergraduate Research and Inquiry program to gain knowledge on Braille music notation. She assisted her professor in a presentation to the Florida Music Educator’s Association at the In-State Clinical Conference. She has served as president of the Women’s Vocal Arts Organization, Vice-President of the FAU chapter of the American Choral Director’s Association, and has been on the Dean’s List for the past four years. After Sarah obtains her degree, she plans on starting a community choir for students with disabilities, because she believes everyone should have the opportunity to learn to sing!
